The Chinese Interlanguage Corpus is a point of concern among those who teach Chinese as a Foreign Language. This thesis explains how to expand the labeling range in the Corpus by creating a new labeling perspective. It also discusses how to improve the Corpus’functionality.This thesis is divided into six sections:The preface provides introductory information about the thesis and its application value. It describes the ideas and methods used while researching this topic and considers the study’s scope.Chapter two describes the review of correlative research. It summarizes the current situation of the Chinese Interlanguage Corpus in China and modern scholar’s ideas about the classification of the Chinese language style. Furthermore, it explains some important aspects of the Chinese language style.Chapter three explains the new Chinese language style classification that has been developed and its range. This chapter also features the new set of tags that were created for use in the Chinese Interlanguage Corpus. Finally, it discusses some features need to be included in the Corpus’search function.Chapter four highlights the database, its search function, and shows how to display the Chinese Interlanguage Corpus’search results.Chapter five shows a practical example of how to label, search and show the results using the Chinese Interlanguage Corpus program.The conclusion summarizes the thesis, discusses its shortcomings, and provides some opportunities for further development.
