This article tries to analyze the survey (questionnaire survey as themain form, supplemented by the classroom record and individualinterview) of willingness to communicate in Chinese of advancedChinese learners in and out of the Classroom at Shanghai Jiao Tonguniversity(SJTU) so that we can inquiry the affecting factors of thewillingness to communicate in Chinese of advanced Chinese learners.All the results are analyzed by the Spss21software.The survey has found that learners’ second language confidence, thetypes of motivation to learn Chinese, personality types, the scores of oralChinese test and even group factors have some association with thewillingness to communicate in Chinese.Furthermore, the learners’second language confidence plays a more important role in all theassociating factors. The other noteworthy ascertain is that there isintimate relationship between Learners’ willingness to communicate inChinese in and out of the classroomBased on the survey, the writer summarizes some revelation we needto pay more attention to and have given some suggestions about teachingChinese as a second Language.
