Since the Han Dynasty, cultural exchange between Chinese and Japan has nearly two thousand years. In more then ten centuries, the culture exchange between China and Japan has sereval peaks. First, Japanese envoys come to China in Tang Dynasty; After Tang Dynasty, the monastery of two countries were frequent contact with each other. To the Ming and Qing Dynasties, China and Japan to expand exchange, the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties also landing in Japan with the fleet.As the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties imports Japan, the Edo Period Literature had been stimulated. Stimulate the enthusiasm of renovate.The new novels became a kind of new-style novel mode, that is reading book.At the end of the 16 th Century, Japanese TUGATEISHOU’s Hanabu Sasou Si adapted from San Yan, reading books were appearing on stage of Japanese Literature. Japanese writers adaptation Sanyan, Ping Shan Leng Yan, Shui Hu Zhuan become Ugetu Mono Tari, Nan Sou Sato Mi Ha Ken Den, Isi Tama Roku, Tyuu Sin Sui Ko Den and so on in hundred years later. Reading books had been declined in Meiji Era, but the Ming and Qing Dynasties novels still influenced Japanese reading books and modern novels.There are seven parts. Introduction of the communication between China and Japana, Ming and Qing Dynasties novels eastward. And explanated the romance novels and Japanese reading book. And introduced the topic research present situation and the plan, meaning, ideas. Chapter One investigate Japanese reading book’s method for using the quondam novels’ theme. Chapter Two investigate Japanese reading book how to split the storyline of the quondam novels. Chapter Three investigate Japanese reading book in the use of the Chinese novels from different style and theme. Chaper Four, with the background of the age analysis causes why Japanese reading books affected by the Chinese novels. Chapter Five investigate the important significance of Chinese novels to Japanese reading book. The conclusion sums up the results of this paper, and reflects limitations and defects of this thesisOn the basis of the previous research, this thesis tried to discuss the influence and the causes of Chinese novels to Japanese reading books. And tried to research the significance of this influence to the later novel creation of Japan and Japanese culture.
