A Report On The Investigation Of Chinese Teaching In Madrid

Chinese has been studied world widely as the overall national strength of China increased. Spain has the largest number of people in Europe to participate in the Chinese exam and learn Chinese. An increasing number of primary and secondary schools offer Chinese elective courses. Chinese is the third or second foreign language in many areas of Spain. Six Confucius Institutes have been set in Spain. More than 40 universities, 150 primary and secondary schools, and 100 Chinese teaching institutions work in Chinese teaching. The Spanish capital Madrid is the earliest to set up Confucius institutes to promote Chinese language classroom teaching with the help of some Chinese agencies.This paper is aimed at the research of Chinese classroom teaching to solve some matters existing in Chinese teaching of Madrid. The investigation included the teaching of Chinese in Spain(especially the city of Madrid), Student study situation, the quality of teachers and the teaching materials.Due to the problems of classroom teaching this paper proposed some feasible suggestions to Chinese classroom teaching in Madrid. The research aims to promote the spread of Chinese and Chinese culture abroad.
