A Study On The Semantic Structure Types Of Polysemous Words In Russian Slang

There are different kinds of language expressions, some are primary, and some are secondary. As for modern Russian, standard language(written language), oral language, proverb, and dialect belong to primary language expressions, while slang, jargon, argot, etc. belong to secondary language expressions.Youth slang, as one of the secondary language expressions, has its special language features, and its vocabulary plays an important role in complementing standard language so that it can ensure the communications among young people. There are increasing number of people who use Russian youth slang in different occasions, and Russian youth slang not only appears in colloquial use, but also appears in literature works, newspaper, magazines, and TV advertisement. The vocabulary of Russian youth slang changes fast, and the vocabulary size are incresingly enlarged. It is the source of the new words in standard language, so the research of it may make the research of standard language more systematic and comprehensive. In this article, in the view of the semantic field of polysemant, the author uses documentary method, analytical method and graphic method to make a deep research of the polysemant of Russian youth slang.This article is composed of three parts:The first part isthe introduction part, which includes the research background, the research objectand problems, the research purpose and significance, the research methods and the innovations.The second part is the text. This part contains three chapters:The first chapter is an overview of the research of Russian youth slang.On the basis of the research of Russian youth slang by the researchers of both Russia and China, the author summarizes the deficiency of the gained research results to ensure the research subject and the research emphasis of this article.The second chapter illustrates the theoretical basis of multi-semantic structure type. The author distinguish three linguistic terms, which are арго, жаргон, and сленг, and make sure that the appellation of slang in this article is сленг. Then define the concept of Russian youth slang, classifying Russian youth slang, and analyzes its main source. In addition, the concept of polysemant Russian youth slangand the theoretical foundations of the research of multi-semantic structure type of Russian youth slang, such as the Seven Types of Meaning proposed by Jeffrey N Leach and the theory of the semantic field of polysemant are also introduced in this chapter.The third chapter is the semantic structure type of Russian youth slang. Based on the theoretic foundation of Seven Types of Meaning proposed by Jeffrey N Leach, the author research the semantic structure of the polysemant of Russian youth slang in the view of polysenous field.The third part is the conclusion part. This part summarizes the content of the paper and points out the practical guiding significance.The conclusion of this paper can be usedfor the linguistic teaching work of slang in China’s higher education institutions, and can be a reference for Chinese postgraduates to study Russian youth slang.
