Watching The Homeland - On The Exploration And Thinking Of The Creation Of The Country People In The Country

China is experiencing a great social reform. with the rapid development of information technology and the arrival of "the picture-reading" era, the painting on the canvas gets very big impact. Many painters have impetuous point of view. they work urgently and pursuit short-term successful effect. Their works are content with things superficial, the pursuit of technology and superficial painting objects. They get into the "ivory tower" to magnify personal pain and ignore people performance. They also forget their social responsibilities and the exploration of the true, the good and the beautiful of people. In this paper, I introspect and change the "Beauty subject matter" painting in population into the "Rural characters theme" creation. Reasons are as follows:the first is for the performance object. Our country is a agricultural country, and most people are rural people. It is necessary to manifest their rural life state. It is a really important part of scan human itself. The second is for the art function. Art should emphasize more than its own form. Realism art is not the only way to performance, but it is really important. Realism is also the artists’ responsibility. This thesis focus on the analysis and comparison of the works of painted by Millet and lepage and explore the ideas and forms of the two artists’ paintings. As well, I try to find out a breakthrough direction in rural characters subject matter paintings.
