In the late1980s, Chi Li caused widespread concern and heated discussion with “the newrealistic novels" in the literary world, her novels of this period paid attention to the deepconcern of secular life and on the original reappearance of daily lives, different fromthe technology color of the literary world at that time popular strong "pioneer" novels, newexploration is called realism, caused the wide attention of the literary world, receivedreaders’ popularity and love, which led to a "Chi Li hot". Since the mid-1990s, with thedevelopment of market economy, social life is becoming more and more secular. the tide of“the new realistic novels" gradually fades, the survival environment of literature haschanged greatly, the whole atmosphere of contemporary literary trend to secularization andconsumption. Chi Li highly values how to grasp readers’ attention.she adjusts her creationtimely, timely capture the changing social era, reducing turn by simulation on the daily livesof landscape for legend writing of business under the tide of urban life, so her novels’narrative has a new breakthrough that is greatly different from the first period,"Chi Li hot"has maintained a certain temperature in the market. According to the research results of ChiLi’s novels and the actual writing, researchers agree with her novels stage characteristicswhich can be divided into three stages, respectively, in the late1970s to thelate1980s in toddlerhood, since1987to the middle of the1990s "new realism" periodand the mid1990s urban legend period, because the toddler period novels did not reflect avery high artistic value, so this paper will research field mainly locked in Chi Li’s since thelate of1980s two stages in the works of narrative mode changes. From "Vexation of life" in1987to "Who do you think you are" in1995is the early stage, since then the narrativefeatures of works such as "coming and going","Good morning Miss "," the lingering ofwater and fire","so" and so on compared to the s novels in the stage of “the new realisticnovels" have lots of changes, so I put the works during this period in the late stage toanalyze Chi Li’s exploration changing trace of her novels’narrative art.The paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter mainly discusses the change ofChi Li’s novels narrative structure, from the natural time sequence slowly flowing stream oflife to the pursuit of the story, she realizes the breakthrough of the early novels telling in asimple, straightforward way. The second chapter studies the transform of novel’s narrativeperspective. Exploring the narrative perspective from the “new realistic” period main thirdperson external point of view to the multiple using of omniscient point of view and theinternal perspective, the perspective of flexible jump brings the narrative freedom. The third chapter is the author’s conversion of narrative emotion. The author by using non-narrativediscourse, the consciousness of female narrative standpoint and the characterization offemale characters’ heart, the narrative emotion gradually highlighted from "zero" state.Thefourth chapter mainly discusses the new features of the novel’s language aftertransformation, the unfamiliar language dilute the "new realism" period the plainness of"Wuhan flavor" living language. The Epilogue briefly concludes the reasons of Chi Li’snovel narrative art evolution, based on the times and cultural background, thecontemporary literary atmosphere and writer’s outlook on life, view of life changes andthe creation mentality, the success and shortage of narrative art rheology are discussed, hoping that would be helpful to contemporary writers literary creation.
