A Study On The Illustration Of The Yi People In Yunnan Province In The Qing Dynasty

In the era we did’t have image reserving technology, compiling national minorities atlas was one of the important means to record the characters, daily life and production situation of national minorities, It was also for the purpose of showing the national minorities ethnic identity under the influence of "Portraits of Periodical Offering" in Qing dynasty, various kinds of atlas of ethnic minorities which had distinct regional characteristics arised at the same time, for the reason of particularity of Miao area in the history and politics of Qing Dynasty, in a very long period, this kind of minority atlas are collectively called as "Miao Albums". in the recent years, under the continuous attention of academic circle and by the means of keeping evcavating and researcing, the researcher have teased out a lot kinds of Minority atlas which have unique style and create a system of their own. one of the remarkable achievement is the "Dianyi Tus", which reflect the general situation of Yunnan ethnic minorities, what’s important, the "Diansheng Yiren Tushuo" and the "Diansheng Yudi Tushuo",the transcript of "Bolin Tushuo", which are acknowledged being lost in Yunnan acadimic, was published as their original, they provided the precious real historical data for the researching of minority’s history,ethnology and the researching of the politics,military,geography,economy,art in the Dian province of Qing Dynasty.At present the most research for the "Dianyi Tus" concentrated on the original historica and version research, etc. and the interpretation of this figure is staying on the surface. It hasn’t further mined the background connotation that this figure is conveying,this article try to do some research from these aspects:Part one:generalize the "Dianyi Tus", and the current research situation for this kind of article.Part two:briefly discuss the historical origin and version of "Diansheng Yiren Tushuo" and "Diansheng Yudi Tushuo".Part three:analyze the picture material of "Diansheng Yiren Tushuo", refer to the research of "Portraits of Periodical Offering", discussing deep meaning and the similarities and differences of the way of drawing.Part four:compare the "Diansheng Yiren Tushuo" with the genre painting of Han area, discuss the unique style of art of "Diansheng Yiren Tushuo" and the reason for it.At last,summarize the whole paper, thinking about the art value,history,social significence and so on of "Diansheng Yiren Tushuo".
