On The Expression Of Eyes In Contemporary Portrait Sculpture

Sculpture is never solidified exhibition but generates one kind of dialoguer. Portrait sculpture is one kind of way for self cognition, self expression and self confirmation of human. This paper makes analysis on soul window of character, expression way of eyes and discusses relations between character eyes and portrait sculpture from perspective of portrait sculpture, making us know and understand portrait sculpture works from perspective of eyes. Meanwhile, on the deeper level, on today of cross-boarder creation development of art, we should reassert importance of sculpture creation and perception as well as possible dimension started by it.Through inductive analysis on expression state of eyes of Chinese modern portrait sculpture, it points out the existing problems and discuses eyes expression of portrait sculpture by combining with consideration on eyes expression and experience in portrait creation.This chapter uses summary, case analysis and creation analysis as main ways, it penetrates problems and develops discussion, expecting to provide much more researches for this topic, on the creation level, it opens more broad dimensions for truth of art and perception.
