In contemporary art, line drawing as a visual diagram form the constituent elements of many different type face, such as lines set tension, the construction of the line of space, etc., which is a linear language conversion expand the infinite space. Pierre Alechinsky and Bryce Madden are two Western contemporary painters, their work implies kinds of lines, in part with a line of construction and demolition, deconstruction of properties. This paper tries to interpret their work is different, discusses the line in their pictures exhibited by nature. Although the language conversion Alechinsky and Madden paintings midline is different, but all the way to demolition and deconstruction work weaving space and to describe their different way of writing qualify as rational constituent element and irrational, it is a point and a non-directional contrast. Meanwhile, this paper attempts to compare the traditional Chinese painting line, to find a new possibility to explore the language of contemporary art linear meaning and expression.
