Tu Long (1543-1605) had a wide circle of friends among his lifetime, which can be seen from his works. This essay mainly researches the associations between Tu Long and Tang Xianzu、Wang Zhideng、Feng Mengzhen、Li Zhongchun,ect. This essay also involves Tu Long’s connection with Zhang Shiche、Lv Tiaofu、Lv Yinji、Qian Liangyin、Li Yingzheng % Bu Shichang、Tu Heng、He Shij in and those worshiped Buddha.The first chapter mainly makes use of Tu Long’s anecdotal literature records such as the Record on Preaching Shurangama Sutra at Haihui Temple on Siming Mountain, the author of this paper contends that it was unlikely for Tu Long to meet Tang Xianzu in Suichang in that spring since he was attending the Buddhist activities at Haihui Temple on Siming Mountain and he only traveled to meet Tang Xianzu in Suichang in autumn.The second chapter contends the association between Tu Long and Wang Zhideng. Through combing their works, this part introduces their different views on life, and their communication and impact of thought, from which we can also see clearer about Wang Zhideng’s behavior and social mentality.The third chapter contends the association between Tu Long and Feng Mengzhen. This part introduces Feng Mengzhen’s concerns about Tu Long, his help for Tu Long in selecting and editing <Youquan Set> and their same focus on idle mind, from all these things, we can see a sign of Tu Long’s self-conceit and unique outlook on literature.The fourth chapter contends the association between Tu Long and Li Zhongchun. Based on Li Zhongchun<Jichuzhai Poetry> and two epistles from <Shanghai Library letters written in Ming dynasty>、<Qianjingtang collections of celebrities’ letters in Ming Dynasty>, this part researches the five intensive communications between Tu Long and Li Zhongchun.The fifth part contends the contact between Tu Long and people of the time. Which contains Zhang Shiche、Lv Tiaofu、Lv Yinji、Qian Liangyin、Li Yingzheng、Bu Shichang、 Tu Heng、He Shijin and those worshiped Buddha.The appendix part supplements 28 lost articles of Tu Long, the data involves a lot about the relationships between Tu Long and his friends, among them,17 articles related to all kinds of Buddhist activities Tu Long took part in, which can be a useful reference to know about the southeast prosperity of Buddhism in late Ming dynasty.
