He Shang-gong’s Note Of Lao Tzu contains very rich life nourishing thoughts， and playsa very important role in the fields of Laoism and Chinese life nourishing science. Digging thelife nourishing thoughts of He Shang-gong’s Note Of Lao Tzu，can clarify the transformation ofPhilosophical Taoism to Religious Taoism in the Han Dynasty，and promote the life nourishingscience development， improve people’s health level. In view of this， this paper start withverifying who and when wrote this book， and do a systematic analysis of its ideological origin，philosophy basis， basic content and contemporary value.About the author and the writing time， based on the analysis of the results of previousstudies and related literature，I think it was born in the Eastern Han Dynasty，and was wrote byHuang Lao scholar in the name of He Shang Zhang Ren，who is the originator of Huang LaoTaoism.In the aspect of ideological origin， the life nourishing concepts before The Western ZhouDynasty are too easy and can’t form a theory. After the Spring and Autumn period，the three lifenourishing theory of Taoism， Medicine and Confucianism was gradually formed， and becamethe main thought source of He Shang-gong’s Note Of Lao Tzu. The Taoism as represented byLao Tzu， Chuang Tzu， Guang Tzu and Huainan Tzu emphasizes natural， is the mostimportant source of ideas. In addition， the Medicine focusing on practice and the Confucianismemphasizing keep health by morality， also provides rich nutrition for its life nourishing theory.In the aspect of philosophy basis， this paper analyses its theory of Tao， the theory of Qiand the concept of heaven and ghost. On one hand， He Shang-gong’s Note Of Lao Tzuinherited the theory of Tao from Lao Tzu. He think Tao was an absolute and transcendent body，it creates all things in the way of natural and inaction; on the other hand the book absorbs thegasification cosmology of Han Dynasty， think Qi，which is material， is the basic material ofhuman body. In addition， He Shang-gong’s Note Of Lao Tzu also exists amount of concepts ofheaven and ghost， as the dominant power to advise people to act like Tao.Following its philosophy basis， He Shang-gong’s Note Of Lao Tzu according to thenature of Tao put forward the method of Self-cultivation; on the other hand， based on the bodystructure， puts forward the techniques of life nourishing.The last part is the contemporary value. First of all， it can help people to enhance themodern life nourishing concept and improve their health. Secondly， it can help the modernpeople to solve their psychological distress， and raise their value of life.
