There are many social concerns about protection of endangered languages; language international trend has been increasing in recent years. It will result in some language is weakened or even extinction, it will result in loss of national cultural wealth. At present, the complex networks and language transmission process are idealization and simplification, so we need use social network to simulate and tap the internal lexical structure. This paper proposes an agent based model of circles network to build dynamic complex network, it can make up for the deficiencies of ideal network and reflect the social phenomena. We quote the language competition transmission model, and change the mixed habitation in a region with different language. We establish geospatial form with local characteristics, and make the language status change with the spatial distributions. Our model also mixes the flow patterns between language regions. In order to study the process of language change, we construct the language vocabulary structure which is making use of language dynamic characteristics.First of all, this network is based on language competition in the same area as the object of study, and then proposed an agent-based social circles network to build closer to the actual language of the social network. The whole network parameters and structural parameters of individual networks have good social network characteristics. The agent can be given a different size of social circles in the network, they can move, newborn and death, these activities led to disconnect the previous links and the establishment of new contacts. Each of the n agents adopts one of three possible states:monolingual in X, monolingual in Y and bilingual, they all followed horizontal and vertical transmission. In the analysis of the language status, attractiveness parameter, horizontal and vertical transmission of the peak rate, the proportion of speakers on the impact of language competition, analyzes the impact of social interaction radius and social mobility of language competition.Secondly, our model proposes an agent based model of circles network for constructing spatial distribution network of populations within their own social networks to investigate the problem of language competition under the spatial distributions of populations with different languages and flow patterns between language regions. This model makes consideration of the influence on language competition of the heterogeneity residential structure including mixed habitation in a region with different language, mixed habitation in different region with a different language and separation habitation in individual area with a language. This model also makes considerations of the influence on language competitions of the social network dynamics causing by the three population flows patterns including daily short moving within a residential region, returning movement and not returning movement of population across regions, and the language prestige variability that the different language on network has different prestige, but a language in a different region may have different prestige. The model has been used to analyze the dynamics of language competition under spatial distribution of populations, social reaches, flows patterns of populations and the language prestige variability. Finally, this paper proposes a new dynamic social network model for the language competition based on agent based modeling method and social circles theory, and the agents node of the network are endowed with bilingual vocabulary structure. The proposed model has the following new characteristics. The parameters of the topological structure of constructed social network are more close to the parameters of actual social network, and the constructed social network is endowed with dynamic characteristics. Each individual agent has a vocabulary that consists of an array of 2n binary elements to describe the maybe internal bilingual structure. The learning and forgetting words rates from the agent’s vocabulary between interacting agents are conferred by their language states and communication probability, and the agents are allowed to gain mastery through successful communication, so the evolution of the average number of words of each language and mastery of the language for agents in the network are achieved by this language horizontal transmission principles. The offspring agents of the network inherit their father’s vocabulary according to vertical transmission principles. The proposed model facilitates the study of the mechanisms of macro behavior which is emergent from the agents’ local language interaction of language competition which results in the evolution of internal language structure of speakers. The proposed an agent based model of circles network is the hybrid network with the consideration of complex network theory, it is a generic model and it can provide theoretical support for the government to formulate language protection measures. Our model has a profound impact on the protection of endangered languages.
