Most modern scholars for the study of the chemical element name in a particular book or a few special element name is studied, based on the theory of lexicology, language contact theory and the theory of terminology, USES the quantitative analysis, synchronic description and diachronic comparison research method of combining the study of the evolution of the name of 64 chemical elements, through horizontal and vertical contrast research, analysis of the evolution characteristics of chemical element names, to understand the development situation and the social culture of professional term. And analyzes the evolution characteristics of chemical element names, summarizes the cause of evolution.The fourth chapter from the chemical element name’s influence on modern Chinese and the specification of chemical element name two angles, it sets forth the development in terms of three aspects: pronunciation, words and vocabulary of modern Chinese. Put forward the existing problems in chemical terms, summarizes the principles formulated by chemical terms.Conclusion part summarizes the main content of this article, point to study the evolution of the chemical element name lays a foundation for the development of chemical terms, for other lay a good foundation for the study of professional terms.
