In today’s pluralistic society such types, installation art and public art both have vague categories art system.It is inevitable that they will interact and help each other forward. With the help of installation art, public art escape from the restriction of the materials and methods, and provides new space cognition and new vitality. With the help of public art,installation art became no longer obscure; considered more factors such as the public culture and social environment; became the construction art which in the service of.The art like that naturally getting closer to public and life and really achieve the purpose that Art comes from life and serve life.The text can be divided into five parts. Under the impetus of the contemporary art, the diversity of installation art make it contact with all kinds of art more or less. And installation art became more and more popular in most kinds of art. The third chapter mainly studies of the relationship between installation art and public art. While installation art and public art are not completely the same and have their own focus in the concept and presentation, art is interlinked. Installation art is developing constantly to serve the public more and more better、to explore the communication between the art work and experience or spirit of public. The mutual confluence of public art and installation art allows art work to serve the public better.
