In today’s painting called "New fine line painting" a group of artists, most of them are born in the seventy s, in their own way of art in the present Chinese society, for the development of traditional elaborate-style painting has its own unique opinion, its work style, they for the Chinese contemporary elaborate-style painting provides the essential of transition from tradition to modern. They have some new exploration in painting language, they pay more attention to the expression of self subjective feeling, line in their works, processing or even vanished. In this paper, the first chapter analysis the status of line in the traditional elaborate-style painting, the second chapter analyzes the representative of "New fine line painting" HangChunhui and Xu Hualing arts education background and explanation of their works, the third chapter to explore "New fine line painting" painting line is the cause of the weakening is the result of the artist influenced by the western painting concept, is the need of language expression and creation, is the time development, the needs of the development of aesthetic conceptions, the fourth chapter combines own a series of creative practice to explore the weakening phenomenon, we recognize that we need to open the view of contemporary "New fine line painting" the phenomenon of the middle route of the figure painting weakened, in the essence of traditional elaborate-style painting certainly can’t give up, on the basis of positive absorption of other forms of contemporary art in the composition can be drawn lessons from to enrich themselves, to find appropriate oneself in the creative practice of painting language.
