Since the mid-20 th century, the music world has experienced a growing trend in the greater diversity and assimilation of different musical elements. Modern musicians are dedicated to present their work in terms of more colorful and cultural meanings, stronger and more emotional expression. Accordingly, they have been making every effort to integrate various musical elements with their own work, especially from diverse ages, genres,styles and regions. However, it always haunts them to make good progress in how and in which way to make these elements more harmonious and even go deeper. Looking in the past, Paganini Variations In The Style Of Modern Jazz For Piano and Jazz Fantasy On Mozart, two of Fazil Say’s finest Jazz for piano compositions, shed light on the exploration and innovation of musical integration and set a good example for generations, in which he delicately added in some classical, jazzy and popular elements as a whole.In the dissertation, we are going to make an analysis on their construction, chords, high-pitch arrangements, rhythms, composing ideas by comparison in theory and practice, aiming to figure out how they used their own musical languages and composing techniques to complete these two jazzy compositions from different perspectives and layers. Furthermore, we can make sense of how they tried to emphasize the nature of Jazz and Pop in their music and how they complemented and composed these different musical elements. Most importantly, we are eager to know where their inner connections lie and finally make a conclusion on their composing ideas and musical pursuits. Now we are going to move on in detail.
