This article studied on the female images in the literature works of South Korea’s famous writer, who was named Yeom Sang-seop and famous for both naturalism and realism.This dissertation was finished by analyzing the "last movement" and "three generations" which described two different periods but have a succession on their own times. Text analysis, data analysis, and other methods were mainly used in this dissertation. After analyzing the image of women, background, writer’s literary theory,the article came to a conclusion on the writer’s views of female images which showed up in his works.The research status of Yeom Sang-seop in China and Korea was sorted out in introduction part. In chapter 1,The female images were divided into two categories,traditional and modern women,and the two literature works were researched through text analysis. The second chapter introduced the historical background of Yeom Sang-seop and his works, trying to understand the figures in the background of the times. The final chapter introduced his concept of literature,and combined with his depiction of women in his work,in order to summarize his views on women.It will help readers and researchers to have a overall understanding about the writer, as well as to get a better systematic understanding of the writer’s views on women.what’s more it will make it more easier to grasp and analysis the female characters in his works. This will also enrich and fulfill the research of Yeom Sang-seop.
