A Study Of The Prepositions Of The Mandarin Dialect In

This paper studies the adposition(prepositions, postpositions, circumpositions) system of Peixian dialect based on investigation of the field and with the perspective of linguistic typology.This article mainly studies the differences and the characteristics of prepositions in Peixian dialect by detailed description and analysis of adposition type. At the same time, this paper discusses semantic concept and association of mutual semantic on the word “zai” of Peixian dialect.This article is divided into five chapters. First chapter "introduction", mainly introduces human geography, the phonetic system, the dialect attribution, and outlines status and result of the research on adposition of Zhongyuan mandarin, the research method and meaning of this article, origin of corpus, style explanation.The second chapter, "preposition", divided into two major categories of “preposition before the verb”and “preposition after the verb”. When analysis each kind of prepositions, we combine the characteristics in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, by overall analysis and individual analysis, Meanwhile this chapter compared with internal of Peixian analyses the differences of preposition of them. The third chapter “postpositions and circumpositions”, according to differences of table righteousness, it mainly divided into three sections, one is role postposition, which is mainly composed of bearing postposition, such as “li”, “shang” etc.; the second one is auxiliary postposition, which includes the geometric, metaphor and accompany, such as “gei···yang”, “gei···yi kuai” etc.; the third one is connectivity postposition. Chapter IV “the semantic map of the word ‘zai’ of Peixian dialect”. According to the conceptual semantics, combination with Xiang dialect, Wu dialect, Jianghuai mandarin, Zhongyuan mandarin etc.,and across dialect comparison, we draw the map semantics, then in-depth analysis semantic map of the word “zai”, their inner relationship, grammaticalization process, and put forward related implication in common. Chapter V “type characteristics of the adposition in peixian dialect". Compared with adposition types of Wu dialect, We analyse quantity statistics and differences in syntactic function of preposition and postpositions in Peixian dialect, then discuss the characteristics of the adposition type in Peixian dialect. Chapter VI is the conclusion part, briefly summarise the adposition.
