The Influence Of Facial Feature Information On Facial Expression Of Adult And Child 's Emotions

Human faces carrying a lot of biological and social information, be able to understand the individual’s mental activities through internal emotions, and is expected to be made by individual behavior, which is one of the main signs of facial expressions to identify emotions. In this study, adult and children’s emotional facial expressions as stimuli to integrate images to study individual recognition for adults and children, differences in the characteristics of emotional facial expressions in order better to understand the adults and children of different expressions of emotion even thinking.In this study, college students were tested. Adults’ and children’s facial expressions of different parts in the open window was used as the stimulate materials, and the matching task was used as the research paradigm in order to measure facial features affect in emotional facial expressions recognition of adults and children. Through four experiments to identify differences in adults and children with emotional facial expressions, the number of open windows(the different difficulty level) on emotional facial expression recognition, as well as the advantages of the different facial features information on different types of emotion expression recognition.The results show:(1) Showing the effect of the same age when adults face recognition;(2) Expression recognition rate and the same previous studies, the highest happy, scared the lowest;(3) How much information is presented facial features(difficulty) will affect the facial expression recognition. Feature information presented, the higher the rate of correct identification;(4) Recognizes the importance of emotions in facial features are not equal when occupied. Eye on the recognition of sadness, fear, surprise and anger is more important, the mouth is more important for the identification calm emotions, eyebrows and mouth for pleasure and aversion to identify equally important;(5)More consistent in identifying individual facial emotion emotional eye movement trajectory, fixations are mostly concentrated in the local features(eyes, nose, mouth), and its eye movement trajectory from the initial fixation point(+) to start, followed by parts of the movement to open the window, However, the other two parts of each other to move, if necessary, the site will continue to return to the window, if the window is part of the nose, the path they are first roughly mouth movement, then transfer to the image on the right facial features, sometimes continue turning left side of the eye;(6)Identify six basic emotions eye movement trajectories show "Face the center effect", ie, the highest percentage of time watching the nose, followed by the mouth, the lowest percentage of time watching eyes.(7) Integration of different parts of the face information is the basis of emotional facial expression recognition, but also explain to some extent the emotional facial expression recognition is based on the configuration information.
