The aim is to discuss the differences of facial expressions pictures with different valences, to analyse the differences in the response time and accuracy rate, and to find the reasons of this and analyse the eye movement data.Using the E-Prime software to write the programs and record the data with Tobii X120, by changing the present time or hint position, the participants recognize the valences of the facial expressions and press the keyboard to react, and record the data of response time, accuracy rate and eye movement data. Results are as follows:(1) In the respect of response time, the recognization speed of positive facial expressions is faster than the recognization speed of negative facial expressions. The recognization speed of facial expressions in the long time presentation is fastter than the recognization speed of facial expressions in the short time presentation. The interaction effect between the valence of facial expressions and time presentation is remarkable, in the condition of long time presentation, the recognization speed of positive facial expressions is faster than the recognization speed of negative facial expressions.(2)The accuracy rate of positive facial expressions is higher than negative facial expressions. The interaction effect between the valence of facial expressions and time presentation is remarkable, in the condition of short time presentation; the accuracy rate of positive facial expressions is higher than negative facial expressions.(3) In the respect of response time, when the hint position is in the mouth, the recognization speed is faster than the hint position is in the eyes.(4)During the period of0-0.2s, the first fixation duration, the total fixation duration and the fixation count in the eye Area of Interest is more than that in the mouth Area of Interest. During the period of0.6-0.8s, the first fixation duration, the total fixation duration and the fixation count in the eye Area of Interest is more than that in the mouth Area of Interest.Conclusion:(1) In different time presentation, the recognization speed of positive facial expressions is faster than the recognization speed of negative facial expressions, which shows that the "happy face advantage".(2)By changing the position of the hint, we find that the hint position in the mouth area is beneficial to the recognization of the facial expressions.(3)The track of the recognization follows the track of "eye-mouth-eye". When the participants recognize the facial expressions by the eye area, it is more difficult than by the mouth area, although the eye area attract more attentional resources.
