Language is not only the important tool of human communication and thinking, but also a symbol system that reflects social phenomenon, language is a special kind of social phenomenon.Vocabulary system is the most important part of language system, it is the most sensitive and the most active part of the social development and the task of the main expression expresses.With the development of the society change,the words are in constantly enrich and develop the oneself, it will be reflected in his body the marks of times change, so the new words have appeared. studying the new words will help us to correctly grasp the development of dynamic of the Chinese vocabulary system and the change rule of dynamic development.It is helpful for us to standardize Chinese vocabulary constructive suggestions and opinions, promote the development of language.This paper explain the new words by linguistics, pragmatics, rhetoric theory.The new words 2008-2012 in the Chinese language life status report(on the syllable, the part of speech, word formation and the characteristics of the structure comparison), grasp the development trend of the new words, especially new way of word-formation and semantic rhetoric performance, at the same time from the total with the perspective of diachronic, static and dynamic forecast the prospect of the development of the Chinese new words and its influence on language specification.The first part of this article to define the concept of the new words, the second is introduced the corpus source and total amount in this paper, finally to classify in form and content, such as the syllables, structure mode and on the part of speech,social fields of new words.In this paper, the second part is to analyze the characteristics of the new words. In this article, through the first part of the use of icons for statistical induction method to explore the relationship between the new words in the syllable, the structure, formation, meaning and rhetorical characteristics.In this paper, the third part are the pragmatic functions of the new words, there are four aspects, for example perform the new thing, focusing on the social hot spots, analyze their social malpractices, entertainment atmosphere illustrates.In this paper, the fourth part on the basis of the former three aspects to explore the causes of the new words. There are two big ways in this article, such as the influence of language and social culture factors.Finally, I have carried on the shallow thinking in the future development trend and new words to the effect of language specification. I hope it can help for the development of modern Chinese.
