Music Analysis And Performance Annotation Of "Mountain Dance" Of Pipa

This paper mainly studies Mountain Dance, a prominent Pipa work created by renowned Pipa virtuoso, Chen Yin, and systematically analyzes this work’s creation background, structure, music fodder, the traits of playing skills, rhythm characteristics and performing communication.The first part of the paper elaborates the relationship between the composer’s lifetime and his creation motive; the second part analyzes the Mountain Dance’s structure and its music fodder; the third part explores Mountain Dance’s playing skills and artistic performance, combined with my own feelings and experiences when I was playing it. The meaning of this paper is to systematically and holistically analyzes the Mountain Dance and its performing from the perspective of a player, aiming to provide valuable theoretic evidence for later players and researchers.
