Buddhism which originated in India is one of the three major religions in the world. Then it was imported to Asia via two different routes. One was through land to Nepal, China, Burma, Vietnam, North Korea. The other one was coming across ocean to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam. And it’s spread played an important role on those countries. In the early 2 century Vietnam started to appear as a symbolic sample under the interaction of culture and religion effect after the Buddhism import which later was fully connected to Vietnam’s development. As we all can see it was the Buddhism’s import that changed this country from many aspects such as culture, religion and language.This paper is mainly aimed to analyze how the Buddhism worked on the Chinese language spread. Firstly, we will learn about the different histories that Buddhism spread on China and Vietnam to know further about how it worked on Vietnam ’s history and language and also the relationship of Buddhism spread and language spread in Vietnam. Secondly, we will discuss the Vietnam Classical Buddhism’s influence on Vietnam language to learn further about the usage of Chinese Buddhism phrases. Then we can get the conclusion of how their development and revolution were. Thus we can prove that Buddhism’s import had a profound influence helping Chinese Language’s spread in Vietnam. What’s more, the circumstance of Vietnam Buddhism language teaching will also be one of the topics that would be discussed. This definitely will be a new angle to study how the Buddhism’s import influenced Chinese Language spread which of course will create a new path for this area with valuable resources.
