| The prototype of the watercolor first appeared in Europe, which achieved great development in UK in the eighteenth century by the exploration of the painters from Netherlands. It reached its prosperity in the middle of 18 century, which was spread all over the world from Britain in the 20 th century, including China. Though, the prevalence status of watercolor in China and its audience isn’t so good as the host ‐‐the traditional Chinese painting and the "lover" ‐‐the painting, and now, through the artists’ continuous efforts in our country, watercolors become one of China’s many rare treasures in the picture with the form of its diverse and unique charm, excellent quality which gets its rapid acceptance and absorption by the common people attitude and at the same time which promotes the entire history of fine arts and opens up a new Chinese watercolor painting style. Because of its mature and diversity, watercolor painting naturally associated watercolor painting academic research, people, architecture, landscape, still life of watercolor painting etc. are loaded with different academic perspective, knowledge concept. But due to the limitation of words, in this paper, the research focus in watercolor painting characters, famous watercolor artist professor Hu Xiaoxing’s characters are as the research object. The author, through three years system knowledge in watercolor painting, tempers to open the range and field of vision in the artist sketch, professor Hu Xiaoxing’s character watercolor painting is full of local mean, describes ethnic traditional culture with watercolor brush and ferments in mass view with the watercolor texture, Which inspires the author to research professor Hu Xiaoxing’s paintings,using the knowledge of folklore to do the tentative analysis, complete the construction, in order to find the folk custom intention of the character watercolor painting unique aesthetic grade, trying to achieve folklores as character watercolor artist important inspiration. |
