The beauty of the folk culture in the northeast of China is worth heritage and development. This is ancient land full of mysteries. The great variety of geographical conditions and prolonged human history evolution gave birth to many splendid ethnic cultures. Among the many ethnic minorities, the Hoche is the only fishing and hunting clan. The history of the Hoche can be traced back to the Sushen people in Shang and Zhou dynasties. The SuShen were industrious, brave and with mighty wisdom, were also one of the least populated ethnics by then. The epic "Imakan",passing from mouth to mouth, and the high artistic value of fishskin art, are of great distinctiveness. However, this magnificent beauty of the folk culture is disappearing and is in urgent need of inheritance. The northeast oil paintings are largely influenced by Russia. Sharing similar latitudes and geographical features with Russia, the paintings from the two different regions have a lot in common. Repin Barge Haulers on the Volga; landscape painting master Shishkin Morning in a pine forest; A.H.KyHHflacn Night of the Dnieper; Levitan March, Spring, High waters; Birch Forest and many other paintings. These masterpieces are of their own unique style and good at discovering the beauty in simple natural scenery. China’s northeast region painters Zheng Yi North, To Eternity; Gong Li Long collecting corn stalks, In the Field; Hoche painter Jimei Yan Hoche Women, Hoche Girl by the Ussuri river etc., all of them fully express the affection of the artists towards the nature beauty of their motherland. The Northeast Region’s oil paintings are still under exploration. Our time calls for the development and innovative of oil paintings. It is painters’ responsibility to fully derive from various ethnic cultures, to inherit and carry forward the folk art beauty. It is always our mission and pursuit to better express northeast region provincialism.
