There are always soft corners in my hearts where the memories live, as well as the dreams and joys of childhood.In 1983, a father named Chris Wiggs, designed a pocket-sized hut with miniature dolls in it using a compact powder box, just to please his daughter. The idea attracted Toy Company’s attention. In 1989, Polly Pocket (pocket cabin, pocket doll) was officially released.This study investigates and analyzes the healing function of oil paintings through examining the creation of Polly Pocket and its extended implication. The author tries to record life and dreams with fairytale-style painting languages. A pocket hut is a pure fairytale world. Some inner feelings are subtle and concealed, delivering messages that can hardly expressed by visual means. Therefore, the author kept on studying how to infuse spirits into the compositions, how to add romantic fantasies and themes into the paintings and how to convey beautiful memories and the meaning of dreams.The author employed symbolism, fused the color and applied diverse compositions to create the paintings. The main finding of the study includes:First, the "Life Stamp Series" listen to the inner voices through the presentation. Reflecting and collecting the experiences in lives. Second, the "Flying with Dream’s Wings Series" indicating that every dream house is a dream come true; creativity can summon another dream in the heart and also find an outlet of life. Third, when wounded in heart, drawing on the delicate pocket cabins can heal the scars, regain the simple pleasures in childhood, and has the effect of mental curing. Fourth, the space of the mind, in fact, depends on whether the spirit is free. More autonomy in painting can deliver positive spirit, and inspire people’s enthusiasms for life.In addition, through the audiences’participation of pocket house DIY, it demonstrates that paintings are no longer only for expression, but can also be an open, interaction (between the artist and the audiences) oriented post-modern art.
