In recent years, with the appearance of quasi-suffix which has strong word-building ability such as "哥", "姐" and "客", etc, the new suffix additive compound is increasing year by year. In fact, since the 1970s some scholars have done relevant research based on theory of grammaticalization, lexicalization and word formation model, etc. Up to now, the nature, structural feature and a define standards of quasi-suffix had been further understood. On basis of former research, this paper took the emerging human-orientated quasi-suffix such as "哥", "姐, "嫂", "帝" and "奴" as research object, from the perspective of frequency effect to discuss the relationship between frequency effect and the formation of quasi-suffix and its development process.Based on empirical method, this paper took full-text database of Chinese leading newspaper CNKI as source to investigate the word-building condition of quasi-suffix year by year such as "哥","姐", "嫂", "帝" and"奴", counted the type frequency of pattern on "X哥", "X 姐", "X 嫂", "X 帝", "X 奴" and token frequency of newly-coined words. Based on which, this paper used depiction and analysis method, comparative analysis method and integration diachronic study into synchronic study method to systematically analyze the presented characteristics of forming and developing process of quasi-suffix. Through authentic data revealed the evolution process of "X+quasi-suffix" in levels of syllable structure and Mobiao part of speech. Finally, this paper concluded the results of case study, proposed that the forming and developing process of quasi-suffix consists three phrases, namely emergence period, rise period of type frequency and descent period of type frequency. Furthermore, according to different phrases this paper expounded the influence of frequency effect on formation mechanism of quasi-suffix.The results of this paper can also service to the vocabulary teaching of TCFL (Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language). According to the different presented characteristics on level of type frequency and token frequency of quasi-suffix to make teaching goals suitable for learners’level of language, and choose teaching content conform to the law of language acquisition, which will contribute to the development of quasi-suffix teaching.
