The research on Quasi-affix has begun in the academic circle since the concept of"Quasi-affix" was put forward.Based on previous studies, the author puts forward her own views on the definition of quasi-affix.The author selects the type of obsessive quasi-suffix"Mi" which modifies person as the research object to make detailed research, focusing on semantics.Furthermore, the characteristics of "X Mi" from the aspects of grammar and pragmatics are described and analyzed in the paper. This paper is divided into three parts, which are the introduction, the main body and the conclusion. The first part is the introduction. This part mainly introduces the value and significance of the research, research status(mainly including the research status of the quasi-affix,the research status of the quasi-suffix which modifies person and the research status of the "Mi"of the type of obsessive quasi-suffix which modifies person),research ideas, research theories and methods. What's more, the author puts forward her own views and opinions on the basis of the previous scholars' definition of the quasi-affix.Then the author further analyzes and summarizes the definition criteria of the quasi-affix.The definition of quasi-suffix which modifies person is also described. Finally, the definition and scope of the obsessive-type quasi-suffix which modifies person are analyzed in detail through the closed corpus. The second part is the main body, which includes three chapters. In this part,in-depth and meticulous research on the "Mi" of obsessive-type quasi-suffix which modifies person is conducted from the perspectives of semantics, grammar and pragmatics. The first chapter uses the method of diachronic carding and synchronic description to study the semantic features of the "Mi" of the type of obsessive quasi-suffix which modifies person. The semantic features of "Mi" are extracted through the relationships between diachronic carding and glossemes. As native morphemes, the "Mi" of quasi-affix and the "Mi"of root are inheritance relationship on the semantic. In the syntax, the semantic range of the object of the "Mi" is expanded and increasingly abstract. There is a transition phenomenon in the process of the "Mi" of morpheme developing to quasi-suffix.The semantic features of"Mi" in the transition stage are related to the "Mi" in "X Mi".The semantic category of root"X" in "X Mi",the semantic relationship between roots and the contribution way of root to"X Mi" are distinct. The second chapter analyzes the "X Mi" from the perspective of grammar. It mainly includes the nature of "X" and the syntactic function of "X Mi".According to the statistics, much of "X" is noun, which has a lot to do with the richness of nouns. In addition, the "Mi" of quasi-suffix which modifies person is derived from the verb "Mi" and the characteristics of verb are reserved. This is why the roots are mostly nouns and it reflects the influence of syntax on morphology."Mi" is the quasi-suffix which modifies person,so "X Mi" is a noun that refers to person. On the syntactic function,"X Mi" is often used as the subject or object. Its indeterminate nature makes "X Mi" more typical as an object than a subject. The third chapter explores the pragmatic situation of "X Mi" from the aspects of physical context and the emotional meaning in verbal communication. The differences of communication time and communication mode, the identities of both parties and the objects of communication all have an influence on the emotional meaning of "X Mi".The refinement of language expression and the contact with foreign cultures have a certain boost effect on the use of "X Mi".The change of emotional meaning from derogatory to neutral has a lot to do with the emotional meaning of the root "X".In communication, the modifiers before "X Mi"weaken "X Mi" the obsession of it.The third part is the conclusion. This part makes a summary of the content.
