Guilt feelings and cooperative behavior play important roles in the growth of young people. This study discusses the development characteristics of Shanghai Middle School Students guilt feelings and further explored the relationship between cooperative behavior and guilt feelings in the Public goods dilemma. This study included three sub-studies, results were as follows.(1)Study I development a guilt story questionnaire of middle school students, the content validity of the questionnaire is 0.87,compatible validity is 0.65,reliability is 0.91,indicating that the questionnaire can effectively measure the middle school student’s guilt feelings.(2) Study II measured 577 junior middle school students’ guilt feelings, guilt judgment and response.On the emotional guilt, the main effect of grade and gender was significant, the Interaction effect of grade and gender was not significant. grade six students intimate self-guilt, general self-guilt was significantly higher than that of grade eight students, female intimate self-guilt, intimate others guilt and general self-guilt, general others guilt was significantly higher than that of boys. The main effect of father educational level was not significant, the main effect of mother educational level was not significant, the Interaction effect of father educational and mother educational level was not significant.On the guilt judgments, the main effect of grade was significant, the main effect of gender was not significant, and the Interaction effect of grade and gender was not significant. Grade six students general moral violation, general responsibility assessment was significantly higher than that of grade eight. The main effect of father educational level was not significant, the main effect of mother educational level was not significant, the Interaction effect of father educational and mother educational level was not significant.On the behavioral response, the main effect of grade was significant, the main effect of gender was not significant, and the Interaction effect of grade and gender was not significant. Grade six student’s general negative evaluation, general compensation tends was significantly higher than that of grade eight. The main effect of father educational level was significant, the main effect of mother educational level was not significant, the Interaction effect of father educational and mother educational level was not significant. Father’s education level high school/secondary school or college above, its general tendency of the compensation and close compensation levels was significantly higher than that of father’s education level is junior high school; education level of father of senior middle school, the general level of negative evaluation was significantly higher than that of father’s education level is the junior high school.Guilt feelings have significant positive correlation with moral violation, liability assessment, negative evaluation, compensation tends.(3)In public goods dilemmas, anticipation plays an intermediary role between cooperative behavior and guilt feelings. Guilt feelings negatively predict cooperation expectations, cooperation expectations positively predict cooperative behavior, and guilt feelings negatively predict cooperative behavior. The mediating effect of cooperation expectations is 52.44%.
