Investigation And Research On The Temple Of Guandi Temple In Xiaxian County Of Shanxi Province

Temple stage,as a special type of ancient stage, is the product of folk religion and sacrificialpractices, and it reveals the Folk Beliefs and the public aesthetic taste. The thesis draws lessons from the previous article on the research, and discusses Guandi Temple stage in the Shanxi Xiaxian,by using the method of field investigation and document analysis.This paper first introduces the number and distribution of Shanxi Xiaxian Guandi Temple stage. Based on the architectural art and the preservation of the status quo, the Guanda Temp stage’s history and Architectural form of Peijie,Chengnan,and Qiangxia is describled in datail. Secondly, the paper makes analysis to the location characteristics,decoration arts, drama situation and functions of Guandi Temple stage,and discusses dual function of "entertainment of God"and "Entertainment".Based on this,the paper puts forward that thers is a close contract between the position of the stage and the orientation concept, then summarizes the geographical features of Shanxi Xiaxian Guandi Temple stage. Finally, the paper thinks that the stage implies the collective memory of the local population,and it is a Cultural Construction of Guan Gong belief which is helpful in enhancing social identity. Thus, the protection and development of the Guandi Temole stage, lies not only in protection of the building, but also in the living and overall development of the Collective Memory and Folk Culture.
