At present, the Chinese wind instruments have been unearthed in a large number, wind instruments can be seen in many Image Bricks, Grotto statues and Mural Paintings. But for the research portion of wind instruments in shapes and names, the scholars but also often arguing, there is even some incorrect ideas.There are a lot of people called SKILL or SKILL days in the Music images of Henan Grottoes, they were playing a musical instrument or singing and dancing.This subject will use the traditional gas alarms sound principles to divide the wind instruments in these music images of Henan caves. At the same time, it will be divided as "horizontal, vertical, straight, oblique," four holding grip manners. The "side ridgeline categories" cross-holding of the tube called "chi" in Henan Grottoes. And I have found a SKILL people playing a "chi" with center open blowhole in Guyang Cave of Longmen Grottoes. I also found oblique blowing "Pipe" in the Longmen Grottoes, the predecessors did not find it.The wind instruments shape in musical image were updated with the times in the grotto,these instruments also reflects the preparation of the band corresponding to its era, the localization of Buddhism and instruments These musical picture materials have great value of research on the history of musical instruments in China.
