On The Application Of Ink And Wash Elements In Comprehensive Painting

The form of ink element in the Mix media inherits and develops from traditional ink painting. There are huge differences between them though in terms of language of materials and characteristics of form. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to classify and summarize the characteristics and forms of ink elements in comprehensive painting.Considering both practice and content, integrated painting ink painting elements consists of three forms: fusion of painting material, diversion of image in ink painting and creation of ink image. Combined with comprehensive painting forms of ink painting elements, characteristics could be summed up: minimal, mixed, symbolic, flat, image-related. These features are concluded by comparing painting material techniques and schema spiritual level mixed ink painting with those of the traditional ink. Finally, summarization of the application of ink painting language in comprehensive painting not only is the development of material language, but also requires artists to excavate the depth of the ink painting expression via their own thoughts and cognition.In this paper, the research on the use of ink painting and the development of contemporary integrated painting has practical significance. Ink painting elements reveal the cultural attributes of materials as well as national spirits. Therefore ink in mixed media should be neither only in form nor only as a symbol of culture. It should be presented in a way of their own language and value. Artists of comprehensive drawing should adhere to the principle of innovation the form and inheritance in spirit and create rich and vital ink comprehensive art with their own feelings.
