Eyes can reveal its focus of attention, mental status and other information in social interaction.Similarly, facial expressions can also transfer individual emotional experience and inner state.Eye gazes and facial expressions of the joint attention plays an important role. They can transfer the social information and influence individual judgment, and help assess the state of other’s mind.So it boost a positive social interaction. The purpose of the study is to inspect the affective evaluations are influenced by gaze cues and emotional expression.The experiment 1which is 2(cue category: gaze cues and arrow) × 2(cue validity: valid cue and invalid cue) within- subject design is to explore the contact between cues and object processing and investigate affective evaluations are influenced by gaze cues and arrow cues.The experiment 2 which is 2(gaze cues: valid and invalid)× 2(expression category:happy and disgust) within- subject design is to study the gaze cue and facial expression how to influence people to evaluate the object.The experiment 3 which is 2(gaze cues: valid and invalid)× 2(expression category:happy and disgust) within- subject design is to explore the gaze direction and facial expression how to influence people to evaluate other people,and to study the individual differences in evaluation between objects and people.This study obtained the following conclusions:(1) There are cueing effect in gaze cues and arrow cues.Gaze cues can affect people’s favorite evaluation of object, people like objects that are looked at by others better, this liking effect was absent when an arrow was used to cue attention.(2) The liking effect of objects that is looked at is regulated by expression. The objects looked at with a happy expression were liked more than objects looked at with a disgust expression. The objects not looked at were rated equally for both expressions.(3) The liking effect of people that is looked at is regulated by expression. The people looked at with a happy expression were liked more than people looked at with a disgust expression. The people not looked at were rated equally for both expressions.(4)The affective evaluation of objects is significantly higher than the affective evaluation of people.
