China is a country with a long history and various religions coexist in one country, religious culture constitutes an important part of China’s traditional culture. From the perspective of religion belief types and its geographic distribution of religions in China, religion belief in China is very diversified. Especially in Southwest part of China where minority inhabit, religion beliefs seem particularly diversified, which arouses scholars and experts long-term attention.Located in the northeast of Guilin City, southeast of Guangxi Province, Gongcheng is a ethnic minority autonomous county where the Yao nationality and other nationalities inhabit. In addition to religion in Pan Wang, a god of Yao nationality, there are religions in Confucius and Guan Yu. Religious buildings corresponding respectively to the three religions are Pan Wang Pavilion, Confucious’ Temple and Guan Yu Temple. With the strong influence of Han culture, religion in Pan Wang in this area is also greatly influenced by the Han chlture. Due to location feature, the religions in Confucius and Guan Yu are inevitably influenced by the Yao nationality culture. However, in the continuous changes and development in the long history, the Yao religion itself is characterized with diversity and complexity, which is the most important prerequisite of the emergence of religious diversity in the Yao minority autonomous county-Gongcheng.Under the guidance of religious study principles and Marxist view of religion, this paper conducts a research on the local religious belief in Gong Cheng county from the point of scientific veiw and discusses the religious diversity in minority regions. Based on the visit to Guan Yu Temple, Confucious’ Temple and Pan Wang Pavilion which respectively corresponding to the three religions, this paper points out and summarizes the features of the three religions in Guan Yu, Confucius and Pang Wang by reviewing their origins and historical development. Moreover, this paper finds out the value of religious diversity in terms of regional culture, national unity and social harmony through analyzing the phenomenon of "harmony in diversity" and "internal integration" in the three religions, this paper also digs into the internal correlation between the three religion from the perspectives of history, reality, culture and so on. Therefore, it is of great significance to explore the deep influence of Han Culture and religion on minority nationalities in southwest China, especially the Yao nationality and folk religion.
