Banana Yoshimoto is known as the queen of heaven in the modern literary world.As soon as published, the writings of Banana Yoshimoto will win the vast number of young readers’ favour in Japan, which quickly causes "Banana fever".Not only in Japan, Banana Yoshimoto is also highly concerned by the readers all over the world.Banana is like a dazzling star, shining the whole Modern Literary.Banana Yoshimoto herself divided her works into the first and the second period,which was bounded by Amrita created at the beginning of the 90 s. The writing styles and themes of her first and second period works changed significantly 。However,through the reading of the first period works,it is not difficult to find even the first period,it’s theme are different.This paper analises the theme deepening, centering around the first period works which relys mainly on Kitchen and Amrita.Firstly, explore Kitchen and Amrita in depth,to tease out the deep thread of thought.That is parallel development change, from a single theme, to highlighting the theme of the cure, to multiple themes. Then summarize the cause of theme deepening.Last but not least, analyse the distinct "surreal" thought in the theme and the important realistic significance of this ’surrealism’ in Banana’s writings to Japan and our modern society.
