The Experimentation In Engraving

Since printmaking works can be created through different tools,by different materials and with different skills,the cross combinations of such large number of variations lead to the diverse styles of a finished printmaking work.At the same time,this diversity plants exciting potentials inside printmaking.Thus,as such a special form of artwork creation,printmaking has the better integrity with other forms of artworks.Nowadays,the experimental characteristic of printmaking is more and more explored through its developing media,concept and representation of modern ideas.This article opens up the discussion around the basic concepts of printmaking from its indirectness(间接性)and multiplicity(复数性).Then,the discussion moves on to the perspectives of printmaking.Combined,a conclusion on the experimental characteristic is reached from both aspects of concept(概念)and perspective(观点).Finally,the article sums up the importance of printmaking to preserve and transverse the rules but being able of breaking traditions.
