With the rapid development of China’s economy, the situation of Chinese cultural diffusion is not optimistic. The percentage of cultural industry in GDP in China is much lower than that in the western developed countries. At present, Chinese culture is diffused by various means of advertisement design, cartoon, freehand slash-ink, cloud-dragon totem, blue and white porcelain Chinese traditional pavilions and storeyed buildings which are also used by more and more designers for the shows of international fashion week in New York. London, Paris and Milan and frequently appear on the international fashion stages. This is sufficient to show that "Chinese culture symbols" are quietly getting prevalent in the world and represented in different ways. Meanwhile, this also means Chinese culture has achieved the attention from the world and generated a representative China flavor.At the same time. Photography is also making contributions to Chinese cultural diffusion in its special way. In this paper, pictorial photography school is picked out taking no account of history; by the citing of 14 pieces of art works of some earlier and contemporary photographers, 14 Chinese traditional culture symbols are presented respectively to analyze the mutual conversion relations between Chinese culture symbols and photography language in a deconstruction way through the classification of those symbols and finally obtain the three-point abstraction visual form and 6-point abstraction visual effect. The representation of Chinese culture symbols by the means of pictorial photography is described in this paper with the purpose of searching for a construction approach and method for the image representation of Chinese culture symbols by which the creators are able to make Chinese culture diffused in a much wider range and realize the construction ideas for photography creation at one or more angles, and by which it is practical to indirectly to spread Chinese traditional culture and present the integration of Chinese ancient civilization fruit and time spirit, as well as Chinese spirit and power.In this paper, there are 5 chapters in total. The first chapter provides the description about the study significance and purpose of article’s proposition, study background, the study review related to "pictorial photography" and "Chinese traditional culture symbols", study content and study strategy and method; the second chapter elaborates the definition, characteristics and development of photography, defines the concept of pictorial photography, and elaborates some related concepts with Chinese traditional culture symbols including "culture", "traditional culture", "symbols" and "traditional culture symbols" and the characteristics and manifestation forms of Chinese traditional symbols; the third chapter divides the 14 Chinese traditional culture symbols into natural symbols and artificial symbols in table form. Detailed deconstruction is carried out in 3 aspects of the representation factors including light, color and composition to describe the "pin-point" representation of pictorial photography for Chinese traditional culture symbols, and finally it concludes the underlying abstraction visual forms of the 3 traditional culture symbols which are respectively isostructural form, alienation form and integration form; the fourth chapter proposes the 6 abstraction visual effects generated by the photographic expression of the symbols obtained by deconstruction are respectively "language", "structure" "image", "tendency", "emago" and "taoist" which upgrade the symbols from the natural beauty to the literary explanation of aesthetic philosophizing; the fifth chapter makes a conclusion and expectation for the full article. For the study on photography works, we should look into the works purely and objectively in a standpoint outside history and away from the historical prejudice. Meanwhile, there are two thinking points of photography works proposed. One is to take the works as things; the other one is photography creates new Chinese culture symbols.
