Research On The Theory And Technology Of Humanization Of Computer Music

Computer music is a product under specific period and historical background, and is a product of the combination of scientific technology and music art. It was denied by several musicians and music workers, which started from the date of its birth. The fundamental reason is that people question whether computer music has " humanization" just like the instruments. So people think that computer music has no "humanization", and at least does not live up to expectations. For the issue that whether computer music can be like instruments, I can’t jump to a final conclusion. However, for the issue that whether computer music has "humanization", I think we couldn’t simply define computer music as a non "humanization" music.Of course, computer music and traditional music are different in many aspects that is undeniable, such as creation, performance, appreciation, etc. This is the realistic contradiction between modern and tradition. They couldn’t be assimilated,and certainly should not be assimilated. But the purpose of the merging of scientific technology and music is to better meet the needs of the people. At present, people are not satisfied with the computer music in some aspects, especially in the limitations of scientific technology in the early times, the immaturity of main body in creation, simplification of music accomplishment,etc. These lead to the problems of the lack of "humanization" on computer music with stiffness,mechanization,etc, which is unacceptable. Especially in the computerization of traditional music, As people are used to the traditional music from the hearing and vision, computer music is difficult to well meet people’s needs.With the passage of time, computer music made great development in various aspects, software and hardware technology and music production technology are constantly updated, and some problems have been resolved or eased. However, there are still some problems in the understanding of "humanization" on the computerization of traditional music, timbre selection, timbre processing, volume and dynamic processing, speed processing, so this needs further explorations.This paper will take the "humanization" as the foothold, build coordinates around "humanization" and try to analyze the meaning of "humanization" and the specific characteristics. At the same time, this paper selects computerization of traditional music as the specific research object, starting from the basic elements of music composition, strives to explore three key factors of computerization of traditional music, which are contents related to timbre, dynamic and speed, and explore the issue of "humanization" with the combination of theoretical analyses and technical ways.
