A Study On The Artistic Singing Of Ancient Poems In Zhao Jiping

ZhaoJiping’s works of Chinese classical poetry art songs, rooted in the development of Chinese modern art songs, are outstanding combination of Chinese traditional culture and modern writing techniques. Zhao’s works are characterized by simplicity, elegance and deep implication. The article has mainly studied three songs: “Guanjiu”, “Virtues of the Silent Orchid ”and ”Tian di zuo he ”(Relation of Heaven and Earth) and Zhao’s style on his works. Apart from this, this article also extracted the crux and gist of such kind of art song creation under the help of modern vocalists who possess sophisticated experience on Chinese classical poetry art songs. ZhangNingjia is one of them. The author pointed out that the singers should perform in the light of the ancient scholar’s recital tune when they are performing songs, especially those based on the Li sao style and tweedle. The performers should be able to master excellent vocal music, undergo impromptu performance and appear on a show with the traditional singing method.
