At present, the rapid economic development of every country around the world haspromoted the trade among them. Meanwhile frequent international exchanges have alsobrought complex civil disputes. But the wide existent of international civil disputes ofinternational community has a great influence in the healthy development of internationalcivil relationships. Whether we can properly handle the international civil disputes or notis not only closely related to the interest of the individual but also to the smooth progressof international civil relationship. There is no doubt that international civil litigation is abetter way to solve the international civil disputes effectively. Anyone who is involved inthe international civil litigation must face the problem of jurisdiction firstly. Jurisdictionhas an important status in the litigation, and as the key of litigation, it’s the problem whichmust be solved firstly in the proceeding. But from the perspective situation of theinternational community, most countries pay not enough attention on international civillitigation jurisdiction issues and for this problem there’s not an unified rule, which has aserious impact on the solving of international civil disputes and is bad to the healthydevelopment of international civil relationship and the realization of the specific interestsof different parties. This article, based on the actual situation of our country, combinedwith the development of the international trend, gives a series of feasible suggestions onperfecting the system of international civil litigation jurisdiction in our country.This article has three chapters. The first chapter is an overview of the international civiljurisdiction system, including the following three aspects: the content of the internationalcivil jurisdiction, the basic theory which determines international civil jurisdiction as wellas the conflict of international civil jurisdiction. The second chapter is the introduction andanalysis on several important countries’ international civil jurisdiction system. Specificallyfrom Britain, the United States of the two countries of Anglo-American law system andcontinental law system of the system of Germany, France, Italy, and conducts andsummaries deeply the characteristics of the countries. The main content of the thirdchapter is the defects of the system of international civil jurisdiction in China. From international civil and commercial jurisdiction systems in China’s real situation, thisarticle analyzes the deficiencies and defects, draws lessons from the related internationalexperience, and put forward the improvement of the reasonable opinion.
