Socialism harmonious society is an ideal society which the Marxist political party istirelessly pursuing, it is a better society which is the common pursuit of all thepeople.Harmonious society takes the "people-oriented" as the basic principles, it put the people’sinterests as the starting point and ending point, and it ensures the respect and guarantee for therights of people.People are the driving force for economic and social development and thebackbone of building a harmonious society.Population aging is the common trend of the world,as the world’s most populous country, China has presented the coexistence of aging andadvanced aging trend, at the same time the disability rate of the elders is also increasing, Thedisabled elders, as the vulnerable groups of society, how to solve the pension issue is a sharedresponsibility of the state, society and families, and it is also the basic content of building aharmonious society. We can find the theoretical evidence from the theoretical origin of theharmonious society from Chinese traditional culture, the harmonious society thoughts of Marxand Engels, and the theoretical inheritance of the Socialist harmonious society to interpret thepositive significance of solving the disabled elders’ pension issue for the construction of theharmonious society. Take Changchun as an example, we observe the status of the disabledelders’ pension, analyze of the various issues in the pension of the disabled elders, find asolution to the crux of the problem, at the same time we learn from the world’s most advancedcountries’ experience in the disabled elders’ pension services, and thus make suggestions to theurban disabled elders’pension issue.
