Minority areas in the economic development process will inevitably lead to the disappearance of some ethnic culture, and So it is difficult to make choice on the question of whether the national tradition should be kept.A total of 18 localized nationalities in Guizhou province and the Dong is one of them. Which are mainly distributed in Guizhou Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Tongren Prefecture of Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. Dong minority in the process of social development Formed a unique customary marriage and It has a certain mandatory, played a positive role in safeguarding national interests, safeguard the national order of life and production development, ethnic heritage of traditional culture. But with the establishment of urban-rural dual system, Dong young migrant workers, have great changes taken place in the living environment.The marriage route, marriage manner diversified, Dong marriage custom adjustment of marriage and family quietly weakening, and showing a certain lag. Dong minority retained a large number of marriage custom, there is a variety of conflict with the national law, such as the conditions of marriage, divorce, marital property relations and other aspects. China’s current ‘Marriage Law’clearly defined the relationship between the couple acquired during the existence of such property is jointly owned property, the right to equal treatment. On property of husband and wife, according to the provisions of paragraph about Dong minority, Dong women are no property rights, so when the occurrence of matrimonial disputes, women can not split the property. Dong minority retained take ceremony of marriage, but the attitude of our current law is not admit for there is no marriage registration ceremony of marriage, and this marriage relationship is not protected by our current law.This paper takes Dong marriage custom of Rongjiang Sanbao as the research object, through literature research and field research, on the basic content of the Dong customary law of marriage,rationality as well as problems in the future development of a comprehensive study.
