Because of the role of wind and waves, camera monitoring system of ship results in the expected offset movement, making the video image sequence instability. Especially with long focal length, high-resolution camera system, the video image sequence of shakes more violent, so that observations are easy to produce visual fatigue, and even properly target on tracking and surveillance. For better tracking and surveillance, Image Stabilization is necessary.On account of that camera monitoring system of ships lacks of reference, practical monitoring results will be seriously affected. Aimed at the problem Electronic Image Stabilization based on information fusion is proposed. The shaking video image sequence under the influence of wind and waves is stabilized treatment, so that the output of the video image sequence is stable and clear. Electronic image stabilization based on information fusion is defined as motion estimation with information fusion. Motion vectors are obtained from information fusion between for the sensors and software algorithms, so that the vectors are more accurate and effective.Then compensate the video image sequence and export the stable and clear video image sequence.This paper introduces the basic principles of electronic image stabilization based on the information fusion, as well as methods and processes to achieve. Selecte three sets of image sequences to simulate by three kinds of methods, which are block-matching algorithm based on electronic image stabilization, sensor-based electronic image stabilization, and information-based integration of electronic image stabilization, then come to a comparative analysis. Fanally use mean square value method to analyze the quality of image stabilization and comparison of the results.
