| To adapt to the requires of the antenna ,on the one hand ,in order to reduce the surface wave effect,people put the photonic band gap structure into the microstrip patch antennas; on the other hand ,we researched the dual-band microstrip patch antennas by adding slots on the patchThe paper introduces the radiation principle and analysis method of microstrip antenna.And also makes a discussion of the size of microstrip antennas.Then it introduces the nature character and basic theory of the photonic band gap structure , sums up its main application .Firstly,three microstrip patch antennas based on the photonic bandgap structure are simulated through HFSS .By simulation,we found the antennas'performance can be improved effectively by attaching the photonic bandgap structure.Secondly,a GPS antenna is designed.And the influence of the GPS antenna's performance caused by the different photonic band gap structure is researched.By the simulation results,we found that the performance of GPS antenna can be improved .Finally,the dual-band microstrip antenna is designed by loading slot.This paper use HFSS to simulate the dual-band antenna. The results indicate the antenna working on both S-band and C-band. It also discusses the effects by the slot's size. |
