The expanding scale of industrial production, as well as more complex processes put forward higher requirements on the performance of instruments and devices for automatic control. With the rapid development of microprocessor technology, communication technology and network technology, the structure and working methods of automatic control devices have been taken great changes. Control instrument is developing towards the direction of intelligence, networking, modularity. In particular, the emergence and development of embedded system technology and industrial Ethernet technology brought about a revolution on the development of automatic control instrument technology. Embedded system technology being used in automatic control instrument can greatly simplify the circuit structure and rich features of the instrument. At the same time, control precision and working stability of the instrument are greatly improved. It makes the machine intelligent and modular. Industrial Ethernet technology being used in control instrument make the control system network more convenient and break the constraint of traditional control network. At the same time, the network structure achieves flat. The reliability of control network is improved. A variety of field devices based on embedded systems such as data acquisition module, control instrument module and the implementation module are connected with a unified control network through the Ethernet interface access to realize the remote control and monitoring. A variety of field devices in control network can be chosen flexibly based on actual needs. It forms an open and customized Web-based control system.Under the background of the above, this article mainly studies the embedded field controller host system based on TCP / IP protocol. The main work and the results are as follows:1. Based on the analysis of embedded system technology and Ethernet communication technology, it mainly studies the method that embedded system technology and Ethernet communication technology applied in the field controller.2. By using S3C44B0X embedded microprocessor of ARM7 family as core, designed a kind of embedded field controller host system with Ethernet communication function, completed the design of the system hardware circuit and produced the system prototype, wrote a complete software program for the needs of system functions. The actual debugging results show that the system works stably and meet the design requirements.3. For meeting the needs of system Ethernet communication, designed a kind of embedded TCP / IP protocol stack for embedded system. The protocol stack has a simple structure and occupies less system resources. It achieves the Ethernet communication between the system and host computer well.
