In recent years,6 DOF motion platforms attract extensive research interests by many scientific research institutes and colleges, because of its extremely broad application prospects. Due to the development of 6 DOF motion platforms involves a series of high-tech fields of the mechanical, electrical, control, computer, sensor, the spatial movement mathematical model, the signal transmission process, graphic display, dynamic simulation and so on, six degrees of freedom movement platform developed into the iconic symbol of level in control field by tertiary institutions, research institute.This paper aims at developing a 6 DOF platform and its control method, and the new control method successfully applied in the road spectrum simulation movement. This paper designed a 6 DOF platform, and completed the kinematics and dynamics calculation, according to the calculation results, design and construction the platform control system; Imported into the ADAMS for simulation after using the Solid Works to do the three-dimensional modeling of 6 DOF platform, and got the motion curves of the six linear servo piston cylinder by simulation; Finally compiled the control software, realized the related functions of the control system by calling the various command function of GE movement control cards, And when loading the motion curves of cylinder got by simulation, each cylinder all can very well track the input curve, the platform achieved expected road spectrum simulation movement.It's proved that the design and control methods of this 6 DOF platform are feasible by movement control experiment, this thesis on the work and the conclusions achieved will provides the basis for the subsequent development and control strategy research of large 6-DOF platform.
