Along with the constantly improvement of the computer graphics, graphics hardware and software technology, the virtual reality technology has been applied to design, thoroughly entertainment, scientific research and other aspects. With the development of research, various simulation algorithms are constantly emerging, and simulation results are also getting closer to the real scenes. Among them, the particle system is effective algorithm to simulate dynamic, fuzzy, irregular objects. This paper studies the virtual scene of fireworks, and completes the main work as follows:Traditional particle system generation algorithm, and dynamic object modeling under physical and mechanical impact are studied. The algorithm of the fireworks particle system and the deformation of the fireworks particle system are designed, with the influence of the gravity and resistance to the fireworks particles considered, and the effect of fireworks particle flashing, so that to make the fireworks display process more accord with reality.In order to make the fireworks scene more realistic, 3D terrain is joined. With the research of generation and modeling technology of the 3D terrain with true naturally visual effect, terrain is generated to show the light phenomenon when the fireworks is displaying.The illumination model, texture mapping technique and fog model are studied to render the fireworks scene, to realize the changes of the color, light and shade of the ground when the fireworks are blooming, so that to make the fireworks combine with the surrounding environment more really.The scenes of the fireworks display is achieved on VC++ platform, using the function library of OpenGL. The render of the fireworks, terrain, illumination and texturing is finished. Experimental results show that the proposed model and algorithm can effectively improve the verisimilitude of the natural scene, and better present a picture of virtual scene of a fireworks display.
