With the development of motion Control technology, PC-based numerical control systems are widely used in many fields, including:spaceflight,mechanical, semiconductor, and robot, and the requirements of the multi-axis servo control card are getting much sophisticated. In order to enhance the level of automation & intelligence and advance the numerical industry, it's necessary to develop the opening motion control products with independent intellectual properties.This thesis pays more attention to the software and hardware architecture and the opening PC control bus, uses the advanced DSP chip and complex ASIC to develop a 4-axis servo control card based on PCI. This card's core chip is TI's 16-bit DSP TMS320LF2407, which communicates with PC through dual-port static RAM. Then the card's motion controlling function can be integrated into the data processing capability and opening features of PC. So, the system is not only very opening and universal but also has an excellent integrated capability of real-time data processing and high precession position. During the motion, the card receives the control instructions and data from PC to finish the line & arc software and hardware interpolation and linkage. Then, the servo motors are controlled by a series symmetrical pulses transferred from axes'increments by hardware fine interpolation based on FPGA.The thesis discusses some key technologies of motion control card and the overall design based on DSP & FPGA, and also researches the software architecture of the card and proposes a DSP&FPGA-based scheme of two-time interpolation to increase the precession and decrease the calculating time. The thesis investigates the fine interpolation technology and proposes a design of high-speed fine interpolation based on FPGA, especially the principles and realization of fine interpolation. Finally, the thesis explains the establishment of a high-speed servo control system, and the tests and capability analysis of the card.
