Splash plate antenna is a kind of dual reflector parabolic antenna, which is mainly used in satellite communications, microwave relay communications and other fields. Compared with the other kinds of antenna, the antenna has a low cost, novel structure, good performance, low difficulty of processing, once-forming, do not need to debug, low profile, achieve the dual-polarized programs with low-cost and easier to achieve the realization of small-caliber dual-polarized antennas and so on.With the increasingly fierce competition in the antenna industry, how to realize cost reduction in order to occupy the market quickly under the conditions of electrical performance quality guarantee became a top priority of all business strategy. Therefore, the Study of splash plate antenna has important significance.A splash plate antenna which works in the Ku-band was researched and realized in the paper. Antenna structure parameters extraction and analysis of electrical performance were accomplished by using simulation software CST. The designed antenna was fabricated and tested and test results were in consistent with simulation results. Far field pattern fully met the requirements of ETSI Standard Range lClass2 envelope.Compared with existing antennas, the antenna had better matching, lower VSWR, lower wind load and lower manufacturing cost, the shape of dielectric simple to produce at a mass scale.The feed were produced in five and all were tested. According to test results, the consistency of products is well, so could be batch produced.
